DIRECTOR
JACKY LAW is ILUMI’s managing director. He is the leader of the company, takes care of day-to-day affairs and has a great love for design. To help him bring his company to the next level, he approached Wiebe and Douwe in 2013. This resulted in the new name ILUMI with a matching strategy focusing on original design.
Jacky is an extremely hard worker, family man, but most importantly a good friend and generous person.
CREATIVE
DIRECTOR
DOUWE JACOBS is ILUMI’s creative director. He is art directing the ILUMI collections, cooperating with new designers and adding new designs on a regular basis himself.
Douwe first made his name with his award winning foldable Flux Chair back in 2011. Next to developing new concepts like Walter Wallet and Humble lights in his Amsterdam studio, he’s been involved in the shift from Milanlo to ILUMI since 2013.

ADVISOR
WIEBE TEERTSTRA is ILUMI’s senior advisor. He is a self-made businessman with many years of experience in developing and selling design items for the home. He founded Present Time in the‘80’s, but is most well-known for his clock brands and designs. He was the driving force behind Karlsson and founder of Amsterdam based clocks and watches brand Leff.
As CEO of Present Time, Wiebe was a client of Jacky’s for over 15 years and has been involved in the shift from Milanlo to ILUMI since 2013.
