Ilumi is an integral part of our development process. We bounce ideas off each other and they inspire us with new materials and technologies.

This lamp combines clever origami-inspired paper construction with warm wooden elements. Developed through a tight working relationship, the design integrates USB-C charging and a touch interface into a compact, scalable product that has sold over 100,000 units already.

Ilumi understood the level of precision and finish this project demanded. Their technical input was key in realising the design without compromising quality at scale.

These large acrylic chandeliers were fully designed by the client and developed for use in flagship Ralph Lauren stores worldwide. The main challenge was achieving the required size while maintaining exceptional optical clarity, structural stability, and a flawless finish.

Ilumi has been a dependable development partner over many years. Their experience with unusually large dimensions made these projects possible.

These two lighting designs—a rice paper sphere and a metal-spun cone—were developed as separate projects for IKEA restaurants. The key challenge was maintaining consistent material quality and finish at an unusually large scale through long-term collaboration.

We introduced Ilumi to our close friend and designer Karim Rashid and trusted them with a shared ambition: creating a premium design collection at accessible price points.

Together with KARE Design and Karim Rashid, we developed a lighting collection defined by unusual shapes and demanding finishes. The project challenged us to push materials and production techniques while staying true to a bold and expressive design language.

Working with Ilumi feels like a true partnership. We challenge each other, exchange ideas, and trust each other to always raise the quality of the final result.

Zuiver and Ilumi share a long-standing collaboration built on mutual trust and creative exchange. Designers on both sides work closely together, selecting each other’s designs and co-developing new ones—driven by a shared love for beautifully crafted objects.

Ceramics


Discover a diverse ceramic library, from glossy and matte to crackled and 3D printed. Ongoing experimentation with glazes and clay treatments fuels distinctive design inspiration.

Glass


From spheres of all sizes to precision-molded patterns, our glass library spans transparency, diffusion, and surface expression. Smokey tints, mirrored finishes, and optical textures support both decorative and technical designs.

Paper


Lightweight and sculptural, our paper collection spans rice paper, engineered pulp, and origami-inspired, collapsible forms. Years of experience enable durable shades with sustainable finishes and soft, atmospheric light diffusion.

Natural fibres


From hand-woven natural fibres to solid and veneered wood, our collection balances craft and precision. Ready-made shades or co-created forms highlight texture, warmth, and organic character through skilled artisanal techniques.

Metal Spinning


From precision-spun aluminum and steel domes to oversized architectural shades, our metal spinning supports both refined fixtures and bold statements. Large-scale geometries are a core strength — if you can imagine it, we can likely spin it.

Metal Mesh


Discover open-structure metal textures, from laser-cut and punched sheets to woven meshes and expanded grids. These materials create layered shadow, reflection, and transparency, with options to use our library or develop custom patterns.

Metal Hinges


Functional and aesthetic hinge mechanisms enabling tilt, rotation and articulation — engineered for reliability and smooth movement.

Metal Finishes

Fabric


Translucent weaves, textured linens, and sculptural textiles create warm diffusion and tactile character. From plissé fabrics to cocoon fiber structures, each material shapes softness, volume, and mood.

Marble


Natural stone blocks with polished finishes and fine-cut details bring a sense of timeless luxury. Ideal for table lamp bases, refined accents, or weighted elements in larger fixtures.

Battery Technology


Advanced rechargeable systems with USB-C charging, long-life cells, and modular housings ensure reliable battery performance. Hybrid solutions allow brighter mains operation while maintaining warm, atmospheric battery light.
