Originally designed in 1957 by Wim Rietveld - son of world-famous architect Gerrit Rietveld - the design was a clean break in style, going from the ornate to the modern look of the Panama Hat Lamp that still holds up today. We partnered up with Dutch Originals and their art director Richard Hutten to reintroduce these lights and have acquired the rights to sell them globally, with the exception of the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg.
Our Classics Collections is a new initiative to show our love for original design and to further improve our team’s standards for quality and details. New entries in this line will be few and far in between, but we really hope you will enjoy these modern classics as much as we love reimagining them for our current times.
